Executive Profiles

Dennis Choo

As Manager Director for PGi Asia Pacific, Dennis is responsible for the management, sales, support and growth within the region, and brings more than 20 years of telecommunications and IT experience to the position.

He plays an integral role in the strategic expansion of the business, including introducing new service offerings and opening new country offices to better serve the company’s global customer base. He is based in the PGi Sydney office.

Dennis has been with us since the beginning, joining the company as Managing Director of the Asia Pacific region through acquisition in 1991 when it was operating as Xpedite.

Over the next eight years he was instrumental in the development and rollout of the teleconferencing service for Xpedite and was responsible for managing the company's business activities in Australia, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Dennis received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in computer science and mathematics from the University of Alberta in Canada.

In his spare time Dennis’ passions include Golfing and a taste for fine wines.

Paul Crighton

Paul Crighton is the PGi Senior Vice President of Sales, South Asia. He is responsible for overseeing and managing all sales teams and aspects of the South Asia Region.

Paul started his career in The British Royal Navy where he spent 7 years. He has had 14 years of Solution, Application and Business sales managerial experience prior to joining PGi. He first stepped into the sales industry selling insurance policies having conquered and succeeded at this he went on to start his own successful business venture.

Prior to joining PGi Paul was Senior Director Enterprise Sales with Symantec Corporation where he was responsible for integrating the Symantec and Veritas business. This was the second largest software merger in Australian history, second only to the PeopleSoft Oracle merger.

Recently Paul has moved from Sydney to our Singapore Office .

In his spare time Paul enjoys Golf, fishing, reading and a friendly game of Poker.

Takayuki Miyaji

Takayuki Miyaji is the PGi Senior Vice President of Sales, Japan, located in our Tokyo Office.  He brings 20 years of experience in sales strategy and new business development to PGi and is responsible for all Sales activities in Japan.

Takayuki, familiarly known as Taki in the office, started his career at Chiyoda Mutual Life Insurance Co. (now a part of Prudential Group).  While he excelled in a variety of roles, his main focus was in the areas of sales strategy and planning, retail insurance sales, and enterprise sales. 

Taki joined PGi in 2000 and is one of the original founding members of the Japan team.  He has been one of the key driving forces in bringing the business from the ground level to over US$20M annually with a focus moving forward in bringing more visibility to global accounts based in Japan.

While the focus of Taki’s career has been in sales, he majored in Industrial and System Engineering at Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.

Taki’s hobbies include a variety of outdoor sports including golf, baseball, skiing, and tennis.  He can often be found on Saturdays coaching elementary school baseball teams in his hometown just outside Tokyo.

Melissa Wong

Based in Sydney, Melissa Wong is the Senior Vice President, Strategy and Marketing, Asia Pacific Japan. Her charter is to help develop, build and transform PGi Asia Pacific in it’s evolution to a Software as a Service (SaaS) vendor within the Unified Communication and Collaboration space. Responsibilities include; business strategy, market planning, customer segmentation, pricing, product and product marketing, programs, online and to assess and launch products in new markets.

Prior to PGi, Melissa was the Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific Japan for Hewlett Packard (HP) Enterprise Software Applications division. Her cadence was to develop, grow and manage the strategic and solutions marketing competency across the Asia Pacific Japan region with a focus on delivering results oriented deliverables and programs to drive mind share, opportunity share and market share of the Enterprise Software portfolio. She was also a member of the Enterprise Software Applications Asia Pacific Japan Management team.

Melissa has also held senior product, online and product marketing roles at Telstra and Fuji Xerox (Xerox Global Services).

Melissa graduates from the University of Canberra in Bachelor of Communications majoring in Public Relations, Communications and Marketing.

In addition, Melissa has completed her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Directors.

Mandy Mellis

As Senior Vice President Human Resources for Asia Pacific, Mandy is responsible for overseeing HR initiatives and people management strategy across Asia Pacific in alignment with global and regional business objectives.

Mandy has over 20 years HR experience including industrial and employee relations, workforce management, learning and development, change management and recruitment.

She started her HR career in the retail sector, spending over 5 years in the industry. She also had experience in the tertiary sector and worked for one of Australia’s national universities, Australian Catholic University – learning and development, senior academic recruitment, policy development.

Before joining PGi, Mandy was the General Manager, Human Resources for Link Communications Corporation (a call centre solution provider specialising in call answering and messaging solutions) where she was responsible for a national team dealing with change management, restructuring, workforce management and general HR activities.

She holds an Advanced Certificate in Personnel Management and a Bachelor of Business (Human Resources) – Charles Sturt University.

In her spare time Mandy appreciates cooking, travel, theatre and Formula 1.

Colin Pople

As Senior Vice President for Client Services Colin Pople leads the end to end customer delivery and support teams throughout Asia Pacific.

With greater than 10 years collaborative Conferencing experience throughout Asia, Colin brings a multicultural acumen in Service, Operations, Billing and Sales to deliver “ world class service experience”. Colin has been responsible for Sales, Telesales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance, and Training across the Insurance, Banking, Publishing  and global Telecommunications industries.

Prior to joining PGi Colin was General Manager, Regional Operations, Asia Pacific, at Verizon Business in Hong Kong. Colin is a consultative leader, leveraging the ethical balance between people and strategic business objectives and revelling in being a builder of people and business success.

Colin holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), HR and Psychology, and a Bachelor of Commerce and Law, both from University of New England. Colin also holds a Diploma in Finance and Insurance along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Mark Beaumont

Mark is the PGi Senior Vice President of Operations, Asia Pacific.  He is responsible for the teams who support System Operations, Corporate IT, Capacity Planning, Network Design, Telecommunications Management and Project Management across the Asia Pacific Region.

Mark has seized opportunities to grow, stretch and develop, he has lived/worked in UK, Japan, France and Australia with experience in diverse fields as Project Management for M&A, Team Building & Development, Disaster Recovery and Contingency, Engineering Development and Design, Development of Custom Applications, System Operations and an living experience/appreciation for the many differing cultures and approaches to today's business requirements.

Mark is a firm believer in continuous development and learning and is currently undertaking an MBT whilst drawing inspiration from his children and TED.com.

In his spare time, he relishes in playing with his children, enjoying classic movies with a bottle of wine and hosting dinner parties with his wife
