Ptek Seeks Meeting With Easylink Management
ATLANTA, GA, March 14, 2003 -
Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK) today announced that it is retaining Jefferies & Company, Inc., as financial advisor regarding its interest in EasyLink Services Corporation (NASDAQ: EASY) and its potential strategic alternatives regarding such an investment. In connection with its existing investment in EasyLink, Ptek is evaluating how to proceed, including whether to purchase additional debt obligations or other interests of EasyLink, and intends to make a decision shortly. In addition, Ptek Holdings announced that it is seeking to schedule a meeting with the management of EasyLink in order to explore various strategic opportunities for EasyLink and its stakeholders. EasyLink has not yet agreed to such a meeting on mutually acceptable terms.
