Non-Profit Organizations
| American Cancer Society PGi regularly joins forces with other businesses to help improve the welfare of our communities, including the American Cancer Society. Over the last decade, PGi has been a major supporter of ACS, having sponsored events including Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Relay for Life ̶ for which PGi has served as a Presenting Sponsor for the past 8 years. PGi has raised and donated over $200,000 to ACS through corporate sponsorship, fundraising efforts and internal employee contributions to support cancer awareness, cure and prevention. “The monies PGi has donated clearly illustrates the collaboration of our relationship and the enthusiasm of both PGi leadership and employees to help us create a world with more birthdays,” says Cathy Longino, Area Executive Director the ACS’ South Atlantic Division. |
Junior Achievement
“PGi has supported JA of Georgia holistically since the founding of our partnership,” says Kristin Serrano, VP of Development for Junior Achievement– the world’s largest organization dedicated to child education. “Through their annual donation of $10,000, the use of their products and the lending of their time, PGi leadership continuously explores new ways to support our initiatives and efforts, allowing the organization to achieve greater impact.” As a member of JA’s Atlanta Business Hall of Fame, PGi lends support through in-class volunteerism and in-kind use of our conferencing and collaboration products,iMeet®andGlobalMeet. PGi President, Ted Schrafft is a JA Board Member and EVP of Strategy and Communications, Sean O’Brien, leads PGi’s sponsorship of JA’s Digital Learning Initiative ̶ a new pilot program that began in 2010.
Information Technology Senior Management Forum
PGi is honored to be a repeat sponsor and contributor to the Information Technology Senior Management Forum. ITSMF is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to fostering upper-level executive talent among African-American IT professionals. This worthy organization offers executive career development, mentoring, and networking opportunities for advancement in the IT field. ITSMF also arms members and cohorts with a wealth of knowledge that can be used to advance their company’s mission. We are thrilled to be part of such an incredible organization and excited about the opportunity to foster advancement within the African-American IT community.
| Australian Indigenous Minority Supplier Council (AIMSC) PGi is a member of the AIMSC, a non-profit membership body for Australian companies and government departments who are seeking to buy goods and services from Indigenous businesses. It provides a direct business-to-business purchasing link between corporate Australia, government agencies and Indigenous-owned businesses. |
|
Because it certifies Indigenous business suppliers as majority Indigenous owned, managed and controlled, Australian companies and government agencies that are members of AIMSC are able to access a qualified database of Indigenous suppliers for procurement opportunities.
This facilitates the integration of Indigenous businesses into the supply chain of private sector corporations and government agencies in keeping with the requirements of the new IOP (Indigenous Opportunity Policy).
AIMSC Indigenous business certification provides Indigenous businesses with an opportunity to build real business relations with members and AIMSC provides Australian companies and government agencies with the choice to purchase goods and services from Indigenous suppliers.

Marathon Des Sables
In April 2011, two of our most intrepid sales people – David Gosling, Senior Vice President Sales EMEA India and Canada, and Alex Nye, Senior Business Development Manager – ran the toughest footrace on earth the 26th Marathon des Sables in Morocco to raise funds for WalkOnceMore.Running 243 km, 151 miles across sand dunes through searing heat (104°F+/40°C+)and sandstorms, and carrying their supplies for the week, they have so far raised over $30,000/£18,000 for WalkOnceMore, a charity dedicated to finding a cure for spinal injury. David and Alex have truly made a difference, and their achievement is an inspiration to everyone at PGi.
| Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon Many members of PGi’s EMEA team put on their running shoes for the inaugural Clonakilty Waterfront Marathon in West Cork, Ireland, on the 10th of December, 2010. PGi Sponsors UK Youth Soccer Team
PGi’s UK team is proud to support AC Fulham, a London-based youth soccer club. While they are young, these soccer players are great ambassadors for PGi, with 6 teams travelling the length and breadth of London every Sunday, 22 weeks of the year. Both the U10s and U14s are doing particularly well this season. Reward for the cold early mornings came in April 2011 in the form of a thrilling 4-1 victory for Fulham AC U10s over their main rival and league leaders, Target Sport. This win puts them in 2nd place in Division 1, and with only 2 games remaining this season they have a chance to top the league.
