SAP Success Scott Tapp: Hi. I'm Scott Tapp with Premiere Global Services and I'm standing just outside of Heidelberg, Germany in the headquarters of the third largest software company in the world and the largest business application provider in the world, SAP. With over 60,000 employees around the world in 73 countries, SAP turned to Premiere Global Services to standardize their collaboration. We provide one solution for everyone in their company. Volker Rieger: The main goal was to have one core operation platform for the SAP workforce and I do believe, yes, achieved that goal. Michael Bethke: With the previous provider, it was very complicated or complex for our user to get an online conference. Volker Rieger: I remember times back when the meeting was all about the beginning was all about the IP addresses, secure, unsecure. Michael Bethke: You had to register to get an account then you have to walk in. You needed to wait for the booking confirmation then you had to book yourself an audio conference then copy and paste those two together and when you have that meeting two weeks later, you probably couldn’t remember your password. Volker Rieger: In the old days, ITL was trying to solve everything by themselves, and I think such is just something which you want to be managed from the outside because you don’t have the skill sets within the organization in order to manage that. Scott Tapp: SAP and Premiere Global Services have partnered to work together on a global scale to improve collaboration across the board within SAP. Volker Rieger: We deployed the solution to more than 50,000 people in more than 160, 170 countries in the world. Michael Bethke: Nowadays, everyone has his own meeting room with his own audio conference. Both are there all the time. You don’t need to book it. You don’t need to remember any passwords. You just access everything via one link. If you forget your dial-in code then you can dial out from your room. Volker Rieger: We made it simple enough for the people in their day-to-day life to connect easily, start collaborating, and share whatever they have to share. Even through times of travel stops at SAP people still were able to communicate with each other and work in their daily life. Michael Bethke: It's easier, it's faster, it's less complex, it's more user-friendly, and now it's there all the time. Nico Geppert: I think security is a key factor in this online conferencing world. I mean if you have a regular meeting or sitting at a table then you know who's in the room. In a virtual meeting, you have to somehow manage this in another way so what we did was the solution is basically making it very transparent for the user to understand who is in the room and to make sure information is not disclosed. Volker Rieger: I think we had a very good concept from the get-go. We deployed in a very short time frame a big solution to SAP. Michael Bethke: We had user trades within the first couple of weeks which we would have never expected. Within a couple of months we have exceeded everything which we ever thought would be possible within SAP. Volker Rieger: It was like last April 80,000 meetings per month and now we have to a roughly 300,000 meetings per month. Overall it was one of the most successful things my department has done.
