Getting Started with WebEx Meetings Hi. Welcome to the Premiere Global Services tutorial on getting started with WebEx. This tutorial will cover the following the topics: one, the WebEx meeting interface; two, audio conference integration; three, WebEx power panels; four, pull-down menus; and five, content tabs. First, we'll cover the WebEx meeting interface. Once you open a WebEx meeting, you will see this screen. The Quick Start page will display by default. One of the most common features people use in WebEx is the sharing capability. On the Quick Start page, you can click one of the following to begin sharing content quickly: Present a Document, Share an Application, or Share Your Desktop. You will also find Learn More links that are provided for each option that will open an online help guide. The Invite Participants section at the bottom of the Quick Start tab provides you with several methods for inviting participants to a meeting. Next, we'll cover audio integration. If you are using your ReadyConference or GlobalMeet audio conferencing account for the audio portion of your conference, a popup window will appear when you start your meeting with the corresponding audio conference information. And if you have call back enabled, you will be prompted to enter your phone number. After you have done this, click OK and you will then receive a call from your conference and your phone will ring. There is no need to enter a dial-in number or passcode. If call back is not enabled, a Join Teleconference screen will appear. Use the dial-in numbers provided and the passcode to join the audio portion of your meeting. Attendees will also need to enter the attendee ID number shown on the screen if you wish to see the attendee's web and audio information as a single combined listing in the participant panel. Once you have started your meeting, you will notice icons to the left of your name as well as those of your participants. Icons will indicate who is participating in the web meeting and who is participating by phone. When a participant is speaking, that person's name is highlighted in green and the phone icon is animated to show who is speaking. Next, we'll cover WebEx power panels. Many of the meeting features can be controlled using these power panels. Panels include participants, chat, video, notes, and polling. Expand the panel by using the arrow on the left to access the feature. Clicking the dash on the right will close it. Sometimes, not all panels will be shown. If this is the case, you can use the Select Panel menu to open a panel. Now, let's go over WebEx Meeting pull-down menus. The File menu provides commands for saving, opening, transferring, or printing files during a meeting as well as ending or leaving the meeting. Edit provides commands for editing shared content in the content viewer including annotation. The Share menu allows you to share documents, presentations, applications, your desktop, and a whiteboard. The View menu provided commands for displaying information in the content viewer on the hosts, presenters, or attendees' screens. The Participant menu allows you to access options such as meeting a participant or inviting additional people to your WebEx meeting. The Meeting menu is where you can view meeting information including the audio conference information. You can also record conferences here. And Help provides information about the product. Last, we'll cover the content tabs. The content tabs allow you to move between content that you have shared in the meeting such as presentations and documents. Each shared item will have its own tab. The Info and Quick Start tabs are listed here as well. Clicking a content tab will display that particular item in the meeting. Content tabs can be closed by clicking the X in the upper right corner while viewing that tab. To end your meeting, click the File menu and then End Meeting. When you end the meeting, you'll be prompted to end the meeting for all attendees. Select Yes to end the meeting for all participants or select No to leave the meeting and allow it to continue without you. Have a great meeting and thanks for choosing Premiere Global Services.
