Video: Face-to-Face is the Future of the Sell

Most of the time I spend on here, I try to offer key industry research and relevant insight. For example, I recently advised staffing and recruiting agencies how they can stay ahead of the curve by choosing top talent with video. Last week, I offered sales tips for building powerful connections with today’s customer in this post: Cold calling is dead.

That’s what thought leadership is all about, right‚ not tooting your own horn?

But this week, I’m going to break the mold.

I want you to watch the video that the iMeet team just put on YouTube.

The fact is, technology can only do so much. Face-to-face is always an advantage. The eyes are still the window to the sell.

For that reason, it’s never been more important to put your best face forward online. Yesterday’s personal door-to-door sale now happens online via social media and video.

I’ll be speaking on these topics next Tuesday 11/15 at Sales Strategies in a Social & Mobile World in Santa Monica, CA. Come join me, or join in the conversation with me @TMcCormick2011. We’ll be using hashtags #s20c and #face2face.

I’ll also offer practical ways you can present a professional and friendly face online in my next blog.
