When you see a good thing, you know it. And here at PGi, we have seen how much people have enjoyed our iMeet® video meetings, especially on our iPhone® and iPad® mobile apps. Meeting on the go is very much a part of how people work. And the ever increasing popularity of our mobility solutions got us thinking. There’s no reason why the simplicity and elegance of our mobile apps should work just for mobile devices. So we’ve taken the best mobile interface for meetings and brought it to your desktop. The new interface is part of our new iMeet 2.5 release.
Here are the highlights:
New iMeet Interface
iMeet’s fresh new look puts all your controls in very easy-to-access locations. As a host, you can easily connect yourself to your meeting, invite guests to join you and to share a file or your screen. Audio volume controls, notes and chat are just one click away, and make your meetings more interactive, more intuitive and more visually appealing than ever.
Social Sign-in
You’ve asked us to make it as easy as possible for your guests to join your iMeeting. So we did. Your guests can now use their LinkedIn profile to enter a meeting, and iMeet will even automatically display their profile picture. It couldn’t be simpler.
iMeet Caller ID
Wouldn’t it be nice if you always knew who was calling your phone? We thought so too, and that’s why we’ve given iMeet a cool new way to tell your guests that you’re calling. We now have a setting that enables iMeet to indicate which number you would like to appear on caller ID. Now instead of showing our iMeet phone numbers, your guests will see your personal number, and if they have you in their address book, they’ll see your name on the phone.
Bandwidth Bars
Like most everything else in the Digital Age, the strength of your connection often indicates how well the technology performs. Your cell phone tells you how many bars you have so you know if your connection is reliable. Now iMeet possesses a similar technology and can show you how strong your internet connection is; this way, if you see the bandwidth bars showing a strong connection, you can have confidence that your webcam, soft phone and screen sharing will work without a hitch.
Email room notes
Taking notes in your iMeeting is already easy, but sharing them just got easier. At any time in your meeting, you can send the meeting notes to yourself, any of your attendees and even people who couldn’t make it to your iMeeting. Now everyone can share in your meetings and you don’t have to waste time rehashing conference notes or trying to remember who said what. It’s all there in iMeet waiting to be shared with who you choose.
New backgrounds
Want to make an impression on your meeting guests? Try using one of our new, more colorful backgrounds and personalize iMeet with a beautiful landscape or one of a number of famous cityscapes from around the world.
Mobile Favorites syncing
If you’re an iMeet power user who takes your meetings mobile on your iPhone and iPad, you’ve noticed how easy it is to save the iMeet URLs that you visit most often. And now we’ve made it even easier. If you save a meeting URL on one device, it will sync automatically to your other mobile devices as well as your desktop and laptop. Now all your frequently visited meetings are right at your fingertips wherever you meet.
We are always looking for ways to make your iMeet experience better. We know you’ll love these features, and just wait. Even more great enhancements are just around the corner. For more information on the new iMeet 2.5 upgrade, visit the iMeet Community.
