My Smartphone Wish List for the Future

Not too long ago, cellphones were only used to make phone calls—they weren’t really good at anything else. Things have drastically changed over the years. With the smartphone of today, you can text, shop online, lock your car doors and even have face-to-face conversations with people around the world.

Even though smartphones have remained innovative, users still want more. Every smartphone user has a wish list full of features they wish their phone had.  For example, I am an extremely clumsy person. I’ve never had a phone longer than two years, because something has always happened to them. One found its way to the bottom of the pool, I’ve lost a couple to sinks, concrete and even a dog. I would love a truly flexible, waterproof phone. A phone that is still in one piece after a three-story fall or perfectly operates after being completely submerged in water would be ideal for me. After seeing Samsung’s recently unveiled prototype and some other water resistant phones that are currently on the market, I may be really close to owning my perfect phone.

Others, who may want some more futuristic features, have taken their wish lists and designed real-life concepts. The video below shows 10 smartphone designs that were clearly created by some bright and inventive individuals.

This is just a small glimpse into what smartphones may look in the coming years. I am thrilled to see what the future may hold. After watching the video, I’ve even added a few more items to my list. An iPhone bracelet? Yes, please! What do you want to see in your next smartphone? Comment below and let me know!
