Staying Aware of Phishing Attacks

Phishing attacks — emails that impersonate a trusted source to trick users into sharing information — are a challenge for every email user. Recently, our PGi billing team became aware of a phishing scheme that impersonates a PGi invoice. To ensure customers are vigilant against phishing schemes, we wanted to share the following information and updates.

We’ve had reports of people (customers and non-customers) receiving a fake invoice phishing email with the sending address of billi[email protected] and a subject of ‘Your Premiere Global Services Invoice 1989710 is now available’.

If you have received a suspicious email from this email address, you should report it as phishing and delete it. Do not click on any links or attachments. The online bill link and PDF attachment in this phishing email will prompt you to download a malicious file, possibly ransomware.

This email was not sent by PGi and is an attempt to commit fraud or steal sensitive information.  If you have received this email, please report it as phishing to your corporate IT team and delete it.
