Executive Vice President, Virtual Events Business
As the Executive Vice President of PGi’s Virtual Events Business, Michele leads all of the teams focused on delivering webcast and operator assisted solutions to a global customer base. Formerly, she worked as head of global customer care and was responsible for the day-to-day operations and the overall customer experience of PGi customers worldwide. In 2017, Ms. Dobnikar received the Silver Stevie Award for Woman of the Year.
Since 1990, Ms. Dobnikar has served the company in various leadership positions. As Managing Director of EMEA, she started up and staffed all facets of the business in Belgium, Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. She set up the European headquarters in Clonakilty, Ireland and launched the full PGi product offering across Europe, growing the startup to a $36 million operation. Ms. Dobnikar returned to the United States in 2005 at which time she assumed the role of Chief Integration Officer. In this role, she developed and executed plans necessary to ensure the smooth and successful integration of all company acquisitions made on behalf of PGi.
Prior to that, Ms. Dobnikar was Senior Vice President of Client Services. In 2001, she was recognized by the Colorado Springs Business Journal as one of its “40 Under 40” Rising Stars awarded to 40 business professionals under the age of 40 with exceptional business acumen. She is a past Award of Excellence recipient, an award presented to employees in recognition of exemplary customer service, leadership and company spirit. She also led the company’s application and extensive interview process for the Pikes Peak Region Better Business Bureau’s Excellence in Customer Service Award.
Ms. Dobnikar graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, with a minor in Marketing from Missouri State University. Additional training includes Dale Carnegie Leadership for Managers and DDI management certification; Miller Heiman – Large Account Development; and GRID Management Training.
